Our Team
Hi! We are Shannon and Jackie, owners of Life in Motion Gym and physical therapists.
We saw a gap in the current healthcare system that when our patients were discharged there was not a safe place for them to continue working out and making progress. Then they would come back to us starting at square one.
That’s why we opened our gym! We think it is so important to offer well researched, specialized wellness programs after you are discharged from physical therapy.
We want you to live your best life and stay as independent as possible while enjoying the activities you want to do and spending time with the ones you love.
We have specific experience with neurological conditions like MS, PD, stroke, and amputees, along with the aging population. In addition, we have certifications in medical therapeutic yoga, LoveYourBrain yoga (yoga for people with brain injuries), Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) classes, and Pilates.
As we have grown, we have added Sarah who has a specialty in the orthopedic populations like issues with the back, knee, hip or shoulders. She also can perform functional movement assessments and screens for various activities like golf or tennis.
We also have Jennifer who is a master at teaching our group classes, and has multiple years of experience working with older adults with strength, balance, and mobility issues.
